2023 Matriculation: Uniben fixes new ceremony date
In its bid to complete the required processes of registration by the newly Admitted students, The management of the University of Benin, UNIBEN, had fixed a new date for the 2023/2024 Matriculation ceremony.
The Vice chancellor, Prof Salami L.I, approved the recommendation for the Postponement following the Low turnout of freshmen on completion of their registration.
The Postponement was contained in an Internal memorandum signed and approved by the Deputy Registrar, Senate matters, C.I Ehigiator (Mrs) JP, with the reference Number, REG/S.2 obtained by our correspondence.
According to the Internal memorandum, The 2023/24 Matriculation ceremony will now hold on Friday, 31st May, 2024 contrariwise 17th of May, 2024 as stipulated in the academic calendar.
Strikingly as well, The Orientation programme has also, been shifted by the same period of time.
As a sequel to the foregoing, the newly Admitted students, university community and the general public are urged to take note of this development.
According to the 2023/24 academic session approved calendar, The Matriculation ceremony alongside the Orientation was earlier scheduled to hold on Friday, 17th of May, 2024.
