EKSU begins sales of 2023/2024 supplementary screening application form

Following the Approval of the 10 newly approved programmes last month by the NUC as contained in the letter dated 26th of November, 2023.

Authorities of the Ekiti state university, EKSU had on Thursday, 7th of December, 2023 announced the Supplementary screening application form for the 2023/2024 academic session newly approved programmes.

This was encapsulated in a publication made available to newsmen.

The publication fully reads;

SCREENING OF UTME CANDIDATES FOR THE NEWLY APPROVED DEGREE PROGRAMMES IN EKITI STATE UNIVERSITY, ADO- EKITI FOR 2023/2024 ACADEMIC SESSION

This is to inform all UTME candidates who have applied for admission into the Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti, and other candidates who did not
choose Ekiti State University initially
but score 160 and above in the 2023 UTME and are ready to change their first choice of Institution to EKSU on their JAMB CAPS that they can apply for admission into the newly approved programmes in the University by participating in the PUTME screening exercise.

The University minimum UTME scores for admission into BMLS, Mass Communication and other newly approved programmes are 220,180 and 160, respectively.

(Please, note that, there will be no examination).

The newly approved programmes include the following:

1. BMLS Medical Laboratory Science
2. B.Sc. Food Science and Technology
3. B.Sc. Peace and Conflict Resolution
4. B.Ed. Health Education
5. B.Sc. Mass Communication
6. B.Sc. Social Work
7. B.Sc. Intelligence and Security Studies
8. B.Sc. International Relations
9. B.Sc. Public Administration.

INSTRUCTIONS TO ALL CANDIDATES.

i. To apply for 2023/2024 UTME, go to eksuportal.eksu.edu.ng , click on ADMISSION, and you will be directed to the online application portal.

ii.‘Sign up’ by providing the required details to create an account. MAKE SURE YOU PROVIDE YOUR ACTIVE EMAIL AND PERSONAL PHONE NUMBER,
a verification email will be sent to you.

iii.After successful sign up, click LOG IN to log on to your dashboard, applicants are to log in using their CORRECT Email or JAMB registration number as ‘username’ and enter your password provided while signing up.

iv. On your dashboard, select the type of application (2023/2024 PUTME application). The next page requires inputting applicant’s JAMB Registration
Number (UTME). For applicants who chose EKSU, their information will be populated automatically and they can proceed to fill in other details.

Applicants who did not choose EKSU as first choice will have to fill in all their correct details first of which is their Jamb Registration Number on the form page.

v.The next page requires PAYMENT FOR THE PUTME SCREENING FORM, click on PAY NOW to redirect you to online Payment.

vi. On successful payment, the application form will be opened, attach your 1” x 1” recent coloured passport photograph with a red background in JPEG format only on the form page.

vii. Upload details of your `O’Level result(s) obtained at not more than two (2) sittings in the following examinations: WAEC/SSCE, NECO and NABTEB.

viii. After undergoing the above procedure, preview, confirm, submit and print out the completed screening form.

ELIGIBILITY

EKSU will admit only candidates who made at least five (5) Credit passes in SSCE/NECO/NABTEB in the relevant subjects AT NOT MORE THAN
TWO SITTINGS, and obtained the required cut-off mark in the UTME of the desired programme.

The requirements for the newly approved programmes are as follows:

1. BMLS Medical Laboratory Science.

O’Level Requirements:
English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

UTME Subjects Combination:
Use of English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Total minimum score is 220).

2. B.Sc. Food Science and Technology

O’Level Requirements:
English Language, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and Biology/Agric. Science.

UTME Subjects Combination:
Use of English, Chemistry, Biology/Agric. Science plus Mathematics or Physics
(Total minimum score is 160).

3. i. B.Sc. Intelligence and Security Studies
ii. B.Sc. Public Administration;
iii.B.Sc. International Relations
iv. B.Sc. Peace and Conflict Resolution.

O’Level Requirements:
English Language, Mathematics, Government and any two subjects from Social Sciences.

UTME Subjects Combination:
Use of English, Government and any two subjects from Social Sciences (Total minimum score is 160).

4. B.Ed. Health Education
O’Level Requirements:
English Language, Mathematics, Biology/Health Science/Health or Physical Education.

UTME Subjects Combination:
Use of English, Biology any Science Subject Any Other Two subjects (Total minimum score is 160).

5. B.Sc. Mass Communication
O’Level Requirements:
English Language, Mathematics and any other three subjects from Arts or Social Sciences.
UTME Subjects Combination:
Use of English, Literature in English and any two other Social Sciences or Arts Subjects
(Total minimum score is 180).

6. B.Sc. Social Work
O’Level Requirements:
English Language, Mathematics and any other three subjects from Arts, Social Sciences or Sciences.

UTME Subjects Combination:
Use of English and any other three subjects from Arts, Social Sciences or Sciences
(Total minimum score is 160).

Any candidate who fails to participate in the screening exercise will not be considered for admission into the university. In addition, any false information and documents uploaded by the candidate will lead to automatic disqualification.
