EKSU to hold Matriculation ceremony Wednesday

The Authorities of the Èkìtì State University, Ado-ekiti, Eksu, is set to hold her 2023/2024 Matriculation ceremony on Wednesday, 8th of May, 2024.

This was contained in a circular issued to all newly Admitted students, dated 29th of April, 2024 , titled 2023/24 Matriculation ceremony.

In accordance with the circular obtained by our correspondence, the 2023/24 Matriculation ceremony will hold on the 8th of May, 2024 by 10am prompt at the University’s main Auditorium.

As a sequel to the above, it’s hereby imperative for all freshmen to be matriculated or else, the University will assume that those who fail to matriculate have withdrawn voluntarily from the Institution.

Additionally, they are to collect their academic robes between 9am and 4pm as from Monday, 6th of May, 2024 from their faculty officers. The robes should should be returned in good condition unfailingly to the collection center not later than 2pm on Friday, 10th of May, 2024 . Fine of #500 will be charged to garments returned later than the stipulated date while damaged or lost robes will be paid in full.

At the point of collection of academic robe, each candidate will be required to show the original copy of his/her letter of Admission and evidence of registration (screened and cleared) before collection of Matriculation robe.

The Registrar further added that the matriculants should be properly dressed in suits under the academic gowns in case of men while ladies should preferably wear their own robes over any reasonable long sleeve English dress.

In addendum, He admonished the faculty officers to make the Matriculation oath available to students to read and digest before the ceremony.

All matriculants are also endeavour to inform their guests to be on their seats latest by 9am, on the day of the ceremony.
