Esan-Lasu unveils Valentine day celebration, official Website, WhatsApp TV, others
The Education student association of Nigeria, Lagos State University Chapter, ESAN-LASU, has concluded plans to unveil her official WhatsApp TV tagged ESAN-LASU TV and launching of website this week.
The 39th Esan-Lasu president Comr, Afinjuomo Toluwalase, popularly known as LARSE, disclosed this development while addressing the student-journalists at the Press briefing held earlier Today, 3rd of February 2025 at Education pavilion, Faculty of Education, Lagos State University main campus, Ojo, Lagos.
During his speech delivery at the press briefing, Comr. Toluwalase added that the Introduction of ESAN-LASU TV is to afford the bonafide ESAN-LASU Studentpreneurs opportunities to advertise their brands, products or services to a very large target audience, maintaining that these milestones are testaments of the teamwork and dedication of both students and faculty members. He explained that the ESAN-LASU website will cater for vital pieces of Information, reading materials as well as past questions to enhance academic performance and excellence, reiterating his administration’s commitment to enhancing student welfare, academic excellence, and a stronger sense of community.
He further stressed that his administration had achieved collective milestones which Include but not limited to organizing of impactful academic training and Tutorials, Improve on student engagement, and strengthen of relationships with faculty management. Afinjuomo encouraged students of the faculty to stay engaged, contribute their Ideas and work with his administration to create a phenomenal faculty.
In terms of achievement of his administration, Larse highlighted the reduction in Teaching Practice Levy and manual from #7,000 to #6,000, the facilitation of a subsidized and easy stamping of sworn affidavit of good conduct for freshmen, organization of a successful teaching practice pre-oreintation program for the 2024/25 academic session 300L and 400L students, consistent and quality tutorials for Esan Lasuites; extension of Teaching practice Levy payment, launching of all social media platforms for the 39th Esan-Lasu Administration, Provision of Faculty ID cards for freshmen for Identification and security within and outside the campus, Recruitment of writers, proof readers & social media PR, free course registration; Winner of Miss LASUSU Fresher 2024 edition, Winner of Dance group competition at Mr& Miss LASU Freshers pageantry alongside emerging from the Faculty, the 1st Runner up in LASUSU Inter-faculty Quiz competition.
Speaking on the faculty’s fresher week, starting tomorrow, 4th of February and ending on Friday, 6th of February 2025. The Numero uno of the faculty promises an exciting array of events and activities designed to ease the transition into faculty life. The 39th Esan-Lasu president emphasised that the week-long celebration will feature a range of event, workshops and social activities tailored to help new students settle into faculty life.
Various activities encapsulated in the Faculty’s fresher week are: Academic voyage themed Illuminating the intersection: Is school a scam? which will hold 3-in-1 hall by 10:00am prompt, Esan-Lasu freshers cup final, at Sport center by 12:00pm, Mr & Miss Esan-Lasu freshers pageant at MBA Auditorium and an online webinar named Entrepreneurship development programe EDP 1.0.
A notch highlight of the press briefing was the introduction of Valentine day celebration to commeorate the month of Love, the sagacious president further asserted that Valentine day is not limited to Lovers only but boxing one another in the University’s community.
