Implementation of the school fees started Thursday morning with New students asked to balance up while old students were greeted with recent change in their portal .

With the high cost of living and dwindling economic crisis that has beached Nigeria, students are already crying the tears of Dropping out.

Older students that pays N40,000 are now to pay N69,600 while freshmen that pays N48,000 are now to pay N115,000 and above a situation that has shattered the hearts of Freshmen who are already willing to begin their academic journey come next week.

A Fresher, Joshua Goodluck who earns N15,000 from his place of work is wondering how his parent who is a civil servant that earns N85,000 will be able to carter for his remaining fees, hostel and even the family over there in Lagos, he described the situation as a disaster and should be averted immediately.

Godspower, a 2021 Fresher has lamented that his parents cannot afford the new amount, he adduced that he saved up money to pay for the previous one (N48,000) and even in the next 6 months he cannot afford to pay up the remaining balance.

Thomas Agu, a 200L student said it is an Unwelcome development and the management should not even make it a reality.

Uche a 200L student, said he cannot afford it stressing that the Management should stick to the N40,000 or even reduce it as the economic crisis has continued to show him premium Shege (hardship).

The Management has said it deem it necessary for the increase as cost of running the university has over time increased and no Federal Government assistance or financial aid.

Meanwhile the Students Union Government of the varsity has scheduled a Stakeholders Meeting to deliberate on the increment Sunday.
