In a statement issued directly from the University’s Admission office, the modalities is also the same with the one adopted in year 2016.
Recall that Post-utme screening exercise encapsulates the grading of Candidates’ based on their UTME score and O’level result.
Therefore, overall 100%,50% is allocated for Jamb and 50% for O’level result.
Also, Utme score is divided by 8 to arrive at the Candidate’s total aggregate for Jamb.
On the other hand, O’level result grades are as follows:
- A1:10
- B2:9
- B3:8
- C4:7
- C5:6
- C6:5.
P.s:The implication of using any other modality, that is 70% Jamb and 30% O’level is that the candidate’s aggregates would have reoccurring decimals, which pose problems while loading on CAPS.
Prospective Applicants of the University are Enjoined in their own Interest to calculate their aggregate screening score, liaise it with the previous year Departments cut off marks in order to know their stance of being offered provisional admission.
